"A didactic song, usually dealing with prognostication of future events for the Hopi. It also may contain critical comments about the way in which the Hopi live in adherence with the expected and valued customs.
"The words of the song are archaic; Albert asks the informant for an explanation of the text and Talawepi then provides commentary interpolating his explanation with singing, taken from the original song."
